Wife killed in home during mistaken burglary incident
In Church Point Louisiana on June 16 Mrs Fernest Thibodeaux, wife of a prominent St Landry parish farmer, was accidentally shot and killed by her husband who mistook her for a burglar. She died later at an Opelousas hospital after being struck in the abdomen by a shotgun blast. The incident occurred when the couple awoke to noises from the chicken yard.
