Veterans Records Kept for Lincoln Parish Veterans
J B Staples adjutant of the local Legion Post says a complete World War veteran record for Lincoln Parish is on file with the local service office. The post offers flags for ex servicemen funerals on presentation of the record with the flag application. Howell County Courthouse damaged by an April 13 1928 explosion is abandoned with offices moved to a church building. Mrs Elbert Miller of Monroe visits this week with her parents Mr and Mrs B S Kidd.

Two candidates from Lincoln parish joined six LSU law graduates admitted to the bar after final examinations in New Orleans. Lenora Fuller of Dubach earned a law degree after earlier teaching and study, while E. Barham, son of J. R. Barham and a Ruston area resident, also received the bachelor of laws. Barham now practices with Truet L. Scarborough in Ruston.

Son of former Ruston mayor succumbs here
Johny P. Jones age 2 died at his West Alabama Avenue home at 10 this morning after a long illness. He was the son of Major Julius W. Jones, a former city ruler and leader of the local Masonic Lodge. Surviving relatives include his wife three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at the family home with Rev. H. M. Johnson officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery conducted by B F McLura and Company. Pallbearers listed include Allen Givens Walter Thurman John Terrill BIG Riser Press Colvin and W Hilbury.
