Floyd Cooper, a white-haired rural smith, shod horses every Saturday at a site near a gasoline plant on U.S. Highway 80. Born north of Dubach, he learned the trade from his father and elder smiths, continuing a long family craft as horses come to his oak tree shop for shoeing.

Arizona Street Crossing Rework Planned in Ruston

Rock Island railroad will rework the Arizona Street crossing in Rivston early August, roadmaster FR. G. MieMannns said. Lincoln Parish Short Course Draws Twenty At U S Campus

Twenty Lincoln Parish 4-H and Key Club members attend the annual Short Course at the U S UK Campus on July 17 20. Members participate in contests and classes earning a chance for further events and will be hosted by the LSU Agricultural Extension. Judge Dawkins, district judge for Shicaln and Union parishes, sets regular court dates. Union parish sessions are 1st and 3rd Mondays monthly, except July and August. Lincoln ASC Elections Set in August

Mrs. Raulins Dies in Ruston. Trinity Service Set

Mrs. D. B. Raulins died Tuesday afternoon in a Ruston hospital. Services are planned for Wednesday at 2 PM at Trinity Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas McGuire and Rev. Eddy Morgan officiating. Dora Clemmons of Ruston died at home after a long illness. Funeral services were set for 7 pm Wednesday at Spears Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas McGuire officiating.
