Lincoln Parish School Board held a regular meeting on February 1, 1960 at 1:30 a.m. in the School Board Office, Touston Louisiana. Members present included Dr. Felton Green and others with Rev. Owen seeking permission to use Eastland auditorium for church services for two to three months. The board adopted a resolution relating to a 1946 conveyance and authorized a formal quitclaim deed to W. S. Chandler Jr. and heirs for land in Lincoln Parish, described as two acres in a NEQ of NWQ of Section 1, Township 14N, Range 2W, starting at Old Claiborne Road.
The Lincoln Parish School Board approves a deed to secure land along Old Claiborne Road and votes to proceed with a misll claim deed. The board notes discussions on school awards for high scholastic averages set for April 12 banquet and reports on parish research projects and school plant surveys conducted by visiting representatives.
In the Lincoln Parish Louisiana third district a writ of execution has issued against Herschel Re Capshaw in case number 17 58 after a court order from the Tonailie Third District. The notice informs about the pending legal action and demands compliance with court directives.
