Lincoln parish road chief Eddie Evans retires after 40 years
Eddie Evans, Lincoln parish engineer and longtime police jury official, marks 40 years of service in 1960. He helped develop the parish road system from scratch, overseeing the shift to an all weather, bid driven operation with its own shop and road camp. Evans plans to retire at year end, but colleagues say he will not be readily replaced.
