The Ladies Aid Society met at Mrs. Eliza Ratcliff's home for a surprise gathering with a needle and thimble theme. Members opened gift packages containing quilt block pieces. Lissa Ratcliff won a sack of peanuts as a prize, popcorn balls circulated, and the next meeting was set for Edith Weaver's on January 3 with another surprise.

The Women’s Home Missionary Society met at the M E Parsonage on Thursday afternoon. The supply secretary reported a barrel of fruit worth 25.81 to Olive Hill Kentucky and a Christmas box valued at 10.80 to Mother’s Jewel Home York Nebraska, totaling 36.61 with church and missionary society credit.
