Fire Prevention Week Campaign Teaches Kitchen Fire Safety
Russell and area educators join Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs for Fire Prevention Week October 6 to 12. Students learn kitchen fire safety, home escape plans, smoke alarm checks, and a Recipe for Fire Safety curriculum with daily lessons and homework kits from CAFC and Kidde Canada. The program promotes testing alarms, replacing after ten years, and new tech like sealed lithium batteries and photoelectric sensors.
