Beef and Barley Supper Brings Russell Crowd to Town
About 100 residents gathered at the Russell Regional Multiplex for a beef and barley supper hosted by the Town. The event featured old tyme tunes by the Russell Pelly Trail Band, threshing demonstrations by Ken Mack of Langenburg, and a Seniors Hoedown with fifty dancers at the Leisure Centre. Wednesday offered Despicable Me 2 in GPB’s packed venue, followed by a Welcome to Russell Wine and Cheese reception hosting 92 newcomers and 60 household visits by the Welcome Team.
