Manitoba directory distribution begins this November
The 1982-83 Provincial Telephone Directory will reach about 220000 MTS customers starting November 4. Larger communities get local delivery, others via mail. The 592 white pages and 688 yellow pages plus a 16 page blue government section expand white pages by sixteen, reduce yellow by sixteen, and add a telecommunication catalogue. The cover honors MTS employees and marks the 76th anniversary, with a new type style for readability. Customers should discard old directories when new ones arrive.

About fifteen attendees heard Edwin Plohr of Farmfax Management System discuss how farmers and small businesses can profit from computer use, noting ease of operation, low cost, and applications for dairy, cow calf, feedlot, swine, crops, and farm management. Manitoba rights panel upholds bus driver firing rationale
