Intersection safety upgrades eyed for Yellowhead Neepawa area
Provincial officials outlined urgent safety measures for the Yellowhead Highway near Neepawa including improving sight lines at a busy intersection and adding traffic lights. Plans also include widening the corridor and installing paved shoulders with passing lanes between Neepawa and Minnedosa. Waywayseecappo safety work on Hwy 45 totals 700000 with shoulders and improved approaches. Local councillor Tim Cloud urged lighting into Wayway business district, extended 80 km zone, and directional signs near Hwy 16, 45, and 21 to aid tourism and navigation.

Officials raise fees on vehicles toys and dealer permits
Fees across categories rise by ten dollars to a maximum of forty five dollars. The changes affect vehicle related charges and toy related items along with dealer permit costs.
Pelly Trail School Board appoints staff amid budget talks

The minutes note retirements of Barry Witzke Doug Fowler and Virginia Beelaert and the hiring of Mary Ann Ploshynsky as Student Services coordinator and Mike Totte as Major Pratt Principal with Rob Tomlinson as Vice Principal. The agenda added ventilation bids for Major Pratt and the computer coordinator hire. A transfer of land from Pelly Trail to Birdtail was opposed with a June 19 hearing set. New rates for dealer plates vehicle inspections Notaries and oaths and other fees were announced with various increases slated for implementation in the next fiscal year.
