A Swan River truck route from 83 to Highway 10 gains $1 million for grade and gravel on three kilometres joining 83 Valley Road and Highway 10. Reeve Jake Buhler says the project has long been discussed with the route looping around the river’s southeastern boundary.
The government increases charges for court filings and civil actions starting June 1. Divorce petitions rise to 135, claims up to 150, defence costs up 5 to 36, civil motions to 50, garnishments to 30. Justice minister Gord Macintosh cites higher admin costs and a 1996-standstill gap. Transportation and Government Services also raise rates.
Highways Minister Steve Ashton announced more than 204 million will be spent over two years to upgrade Manitoba highways. Lights planned for Neepawa Mountain Road intersection with Hwy 16 aim to reduce congestion, improve safety, with a potential installation by fall pending counts and warrants.
