CKND tower move advances to new Manitoba site
The CKND extension moves its transmitter, dismantling the KCND tower in Pembina North Dakota and trucking 26 semitrailers carrying 123 tons of steel to a new site 12 miles west of Minnedosa near Basswood. Imagineering leads the project with LeBlanc Royle overseeing tower work Hoffman builds the site. Tower rises to 1278 feet, broadcasting Channel 2 CKND TV2 with 75 mile reach by September 1.
