The Russell town council retires foreman Judy Russia notes a tour to inspect streets and yards. They approved a $700 alarm at the sewage station, four building permits, sewer and water connection rates, land lease for a receiving site, and annex rental for driving tests. A special meeting is set for June 3 with the next regular session June 10, 1982.

The Manitoba budget changes affect farmers through tax shifts and levies. On May 25 1982 96 pairs of mixed chemicals were stolen from the Manitoba Pool Elevator in Binscarth with a total value around 12000. Wires were cut and a bolt cutter forced the door latch. RCM P expects more details as investigations continue.
