Curling HIG Annual meeting ends season

The Russell Curling Club concluded the 1981-82 season with an April 23 gathering at the rink. About twenty members attended as President Terry Stone chaired, Evelyn Whitmer logged minutes, and Bonnie Bily distributed the financial report showing a healthier bank balance aided by Saturday bingo revenue. Awards honored club winners across men’s and ladies divisions, with trophies donated by Bill and Carrie Borkofsky and Alvin and Hazel Miller. A social finale of card games and raffles closed the evening, with plans noted for 1982-83 rink improvements and fall coverage.
