Town forms local improvement district in Russell
Russell council met on June 6 1963 with all members present. They discussed radar gun costs and a potential loading zone in front of the Central Inn and arena. An offer to purchase land west of Ellie Ave was accepted by Bicknell Ltd with a closing August 31 1963. Building permits were approved for several dwellings and business renovations. The town plans to form a Local Improvement District for the block west of Main Street to improve the business district and preserve parking. Next meeting set for June 28 at 7:00 pm.
