Fun Rodeo features at fair attract crowds and riders
The Russell fair showcased a busy midway, demolition derby with 13 cars vying for a 200 prize, and a Powder Puff race. Winners included Bart Gogal and Clint Martin with Swan River and Russell entrants prevailing. Judges named best dressed saddle horse Ruth Purdy and others from Lions Club and local groups. The day included cattle and light horse shows, a slow pitch tournament, pig wrestling, sheep riding, and a large crowd despite rain.
