Manitoba announces new payday loan rules to take effect in October
Manitoba will implement tighter payday loan rules with a new maximum rate per 100 dollars and a loan cap at 30 percent of a borrower’s next net pay. The changes, announced by Gord Mackintosh, include clearer disclosures, regulation of online lenders, consent requirements, and protections against unauthorized withdrawals.
