MotoKart Klassic brings 70 teams to Russell’s Main Street
Terrie Welwood reports on the second weekend in July as Russell’s Main Street becomes an Indy 500 course for the MotoKart Klassic drawing more than 70 teams. Each team spends upwards of 500 dollars daily, boosting local commerce and attracting spectators. Wes Anderson notes the event’s broad age range, from 8 to 58, and the families that accompany racers, along with the pending Main Street Revitalization plans that could draw the group back for a second race.
