Texas graduates brace for record year and job boom
Nearly 100000 Texas students prepare to receive diplomas this week with state tallies projecting record totals. Public high schools expect 64000 to 65000 grads while state colleges and universities confer about 20000 degrees, plus additional private and church schools. Job prospects look bright as UT Austin reports five to ten offers per graduate with higher salaries, though some officials fear an overflow of applicants.
