Funeral Services for Thomas R. Benge 94
Funeral services for Thomas R. Benge 94 were held Tuesday evening at 4 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. O P Meador and Rev. James Blaylock officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Benge, a native of Maydelle and former merchant, died Monday at Rusk Nursing Home after an extended illness. He worked for the Texas Department of Corrections and Rusk State Hospital and was a Maydelle Baptist Church member. Survivors include six daughters, one son, twelve grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
