Obituary details Jim Williamson known as Uncle Jim dies at 7 am in Hagerman a son of Tennessee born 1864 who cowboyed in Organ Mountains lived in a cave faced Indians and later served as deputy sheriff and game warden. He leaves six daughters, a brother Oscar, ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral at Hagerman Methodist Church with Rev. George Wolfe officiating and recorded bearers and honorary escorts. Burial in Hagerman.

2nd Lt. Thomas J. Guthrie of Reading Pennsylvania was in a 1952 Ford convertible when he collided with a cotton trailer truck on U S Highway 70 west of Roswell.
