The American Legion hosts POW MIA Day at 2 p.m. at 1620 N Montana Ave with veterans and community invited. The Heroes Banquet runs 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Roswell Convention Center 912 N Main St, $15 for chicken fried steak and dancing. proceeds benefit Homes for Heroes of Chaves County. A giant Humane Society yard sale is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 1500 N Grand Ave next to the Wool Bowl with 50 vendors and profits to the charity.
