Winchester Dairy abuse probe draws state, national attention
Mercy For Animals released an undercover report claiming workers at Winchester Dairy abused cows with chains, screwdrivers, and hoses. The New Mexico Livestock Board and Chaves County DA are investigating. Leprino Foods terminated shipments and Winchester closed the facility. The dairy supplier cited concerns about animal welfare and called for accountability.
