The Agriculture Department reports net farm income likely to be about 9 percent higher than a year earlier for the July to September quarter, with an annual rate near 12 billion dollars. Prices overall rose slightly in eight months while marketings grew, and costs remained higher than last year.

The Roswell GOC will recognize ten members in a 7:30 p.m. ceremony at the Municipal Airport Building Observation Post. Awards include meritorious wings for over 100 hours of service and other wings for 23 to 25 hours with a mix of named members and officers.

Eight persons died in a two car crash three miles west of Lake Wales Florida. A lone survivor, a small Negro boy, is in critical condition at Orlando General Hospital.
