State Legion Hears Plans of a National Body

Albuquerque September 17 AP 41 L Plummer of Indianapolis assistant national adjutant of the American Legion told a state conference that enactment by Congress of the universal service bill sponsored by the Legion will be a major objective after its national convention at Miami October 22 to 23. He urged posts to survey communities for civic projects and cooperation with schools, prioritizing education and service beyond veteran care. Gordon Shackleford described the region’s rehabilitation program for disabled veterans.
