Bank Hold Up At Nara Visa Ends With $1600 Loot

Posse from Quay and Union counties searched for three masked gunmen who robbed the First National Bank at Nara Visa and forced four bystanders to act as shields as they fled northward toward Texas. The two bank employees, Miss Leona Schultz and James Burns, were released unharmed. $1600 was taken though nearly $5000 in gold was found later by officials.

Two die after nurse misreads anesthesia formula

Cincinnati Sept 17 AP A nurse at Longview State Hospital for the Insane misread a formula and gave three women two grams of anesthesia instead of two. All three died within about 20 minutes. Collision at Fifth and Richardson Injures One Person

A Chrysler sedan owned by R H McCune and driven by Mrs Alene Read collided with a Ford V driven by J A Buford at Fifth and Richardson at about 1 PM. Mrs McCune suffered knee and nose injuries while Buford was uninjured. The Chrysler spun, mounted a curb, and halted with front wheels on the sidewalk.

German aviator Captain Wolfgang Von Gronau, attempting a world circumnavigation in staged hops, made a forced landing in rough weather in the Sea of Hiratsuka, 25 miles southwest of Yokohama.
