Roswell Police Turnover Surges Over Summer Months

Old-timers Reunite For 74th Roswell Reunion

About 200 members gathered at the Masonic Temple in Roswell for the 74th annual old-timers reunion with a barbecue and country music. The event honored 97-year-old Mrs. Charlie Porter from Texas, 95-year-old Mrs. Oney Ramond the oldest native New Mexican woman, and 93-year-old Roy Treat the oldest native New Mexican man. Musicians included Jim Kirk, Smiley Maulin, Bob Keith, Aaron O Neal, Walter Pennington, A T Broadwell and Richard Crell. Club officers were reelected: Nellie Townsend president, Richard Corn first vice president, Arlie Greenwood second vice president, Cathy Marley first secretary, Clara Irwin second secretary.
