Roswell Legal Committee backs airport authority resolution
The Legal Committee voted to forward the airport authority resolution to the City Council for approval. Councilors Savino Sanchez Peterson Stubbs and Foster joined by City Attorney Holloman and RIAC member Tim Jennings supported the move, noting prior vetoes and the measure would only authorize discussion through city ordinance. The EDC and county officials described broad support and the aim to unlock local job growth since Walker AFB closed in 1967. See RESOLUTION, Page A3
