Wall Street Mixed But Steady As Markets Hold
Traders cooled on the stock market with a narrow swing across sectors as volume slipped to 635,200 shares, the smallest full day in weeks. Analysts saw some late buying in steels and aircrafts, while government spending next year could act as a pump primer. commodities moved unevenly and foreign markets were largely steady. In Kansas City, hogs sold slowly at 6.60 top for 190-300 lb, cattle and calves mixed with steady to higher bids on select fat cattle and strong feeder demand. sheep sales opened softer but volumes remained adequate.
