Roswell Debates Street Renaming for Chavez and King
Roswell's General Services and Infrastructure committees met at the public library to consider renaming South Main Street to Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Nevada Street to Martin Luther King Jr Avenue. The meeting revealed a sharp Anglo Hispanic split with 19 opposing and 4 supporting speakers, and the panel agreed to forward two policies to the full city council in December.
