Lawyer Hones Petition for New County Formation
W. E. Lindsey of Portales attended court yesterday morning and prepared a petition for organizing a new county. He planned to circulate for signatures while the Crary and Lane well near Ancho, recently drilled, was sold to Chicago. The Social Circle hosted an elegant party at Mrs. Jon W. Poe’s home, with the Entre Nous club event described as a courteous act.
