State health secretary said no break in rehabilitation services in southeastern New Mexico and the New Mexico Rehabilitation Center building will stay. An RFP for rehabilitation services will be issued before Jan 1 for options in Roswell or southeastern New Mexico, seeking bids for both physical and substance abuse rehab. If a smooth private transition isn’t assured by July 1, funding may continue. Governor Johnson’s budget is due Jan 20.
