Roy W. Ward 81 of 1512 W Seventh St died Wednesday in St Marys Hospital. Funeral services set for 11 a.m. Friday at Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Austin H. Dillon officiating and special music by Ralph Kaler and Joyce Wells. Committal Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery Oklahoma City. Ward founded Roswell State Bank in 1946 and was bank president and later directors chairman. He was born in Tennessee, moved to Oklahoma at 19 to start banking, and later led Wellston State Bank and First National Bank of Wellston. He attended Carson Newman College and studied business education, was active in the First United Methodist Church and several Masonic bodies.
