A man believed to be the Mrs. Alice Speed Stoll kidnapper sped toward Philadelphia at 70 mph as Delaware state police pursued a light sedan carrying three men. One occupant was thought to be Thomas M. Robinson Jr. Police traced the car through Wilmington toward Philadelphia amid widespread searches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Charges discussed as not specifying first degree murder. Massengill reputed wealthy with early yard wag on business and loan dealings. Incident over 28 rent and attachment of Wolfenbarger furniture. Both men members of Vanguard. Wolfenbarger came to town in 1906 Massengill a year later. Wolfenbarger and family dependent on Welfare Association. The defense says Massengill tried to grab his gun when shot.

In Carlsbad New Mexico October 19 AP the 3000 bond of Carl N Wright convicted of manslaughter after a supreme court reversal of a murder verdict in the 1929 killing of Andrew Jackson Foster was ordered forfeited by Judge J B McGhee. Wright is alleged to have disappeared after filing a motion for a new trial. Bond was signed by G B and G G Armstrong. It is the first bond forfeiture here in many years. Wright allegedly beat Foster with a fence post following a quarrel.
