W B Smith former president of Western National Bank was indicted by the Federal grand jury on charges of making false entries misappropriation of funds and embezzlement. His whereabouts are unknown. The bank was closed by authorities weeks ago then reopened last Monday with another president.

Bid Received For Dirt Removal At Honda Reservoir

Only one bid for the dirt removal on two fills at the Honda reservoir was submitted by Wood Bancroft and Doty of Omaha. The bid was opened by U S Reclamation Service officials this morning, with award not yet made but likely.
