A large crowd gathers as Campbell Bros brings a 23-car circus to Roswell, pitched on Eighth Street at Pecos Avenue. The two-hour matinee features acrobats, Japanese tumblers, horse riders, and Cossack performers. In the animal tent, a pure white lion cub with blue eyes draws crowds, with its sibling and parents from Naubia and Asia. The white cub’s death last night is noted and the Cossacks wired an offer to buy the unique animals. The evening show starts at eight with a freak act titled What is It at Joyce Pruit corner, under Campbell Bros management.

Night School A Success At Roswell Presbyterian Church
A large Roswell crowd attended the night school meeting at the Presbyterian church with strong youth participation. Forty six signed to take Spanish books, thirty to study bookkeeping, twenty to enroll in shorthand, and between fifty and seventy five in music. Instructors include Prof. Osborne bookkeeping, W M Heeth shorthand, Miss Edith Rodney music, and Prof. J B Blea Spanish. Classes begin next week with shorthand Mondays, bookkeeping Tuesdays, music Thursdays, and Spanish Fridays. The first music class meets Thursday night.
