Roswell Eyes December Start For New Air Route
Roswell chamber official Claude Simpson said air service may begin by December 1 via Continental Air Lines from Albuquerque to El Paso through Roswell Hobbs and Carlsbad. FAA decision awaited, hearing held August in El Paso, briefs filed September. Continental also anticipates permit and service within a month of approval with Roswell linking transcontinental routes. Hewatt Gets 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 Years in Prison

Gilbert G. Hendrix Jr., president of an Albuquerque finance company, arrived by train from Salt Lake City and was moved by ambulance to Porter sanitarium in Denver for brain specialist care. The 33 year old disappeared eight days earlier during a Santa Fe business trip and his car, glasses, and a bloodstained handkerchief were later found in Denver.
