Dave Speaker a 5 foot 5 inch 126 pound sophomore walked into the Iowa State field in blue gym shorts and delivered a 36 yard field goal and two strong kickoffs in a 24 7 victory over Kansas. He credited teammates for convincing him to try football and admitted nerves but said he was ready to tackle if needed.
