Roswell Recruit Completes Marine Corps Boot Camp
Private Phillip R. Halpain daughter of Micheal R. Mealand of Roswell finished 12 weeks of Marine basic training at San Diego Recruit Depot. He endured early runs and calisthenics and learned first aid, marksmanship, combat water survival, and core values. The Crucible tested teamwork over 54 hours ending with the Marine Emblem and title “Marines.”
