Funeral services are pending for the Rev Walter Wilson Orr 75 of 1000 N Missouri Ave Roswell a retired minister and businessman He died today at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Born November 2 1897 in Mena Arkansas He lived in New Mexico 74 years and Roswell 54 He served in the Navy during World War I and was married to Emma Lee Baker in 1919 His career included Merchant's Delivery Service Orr's Bakery farming and real estate He led churches in Roswell Hagerman Clovis Carlsbad El Paso and other posts and helped build church facilities He later co ministered at Kenna Community Church He served on the Roswell city council planning commission and was active in local groups He is survived by his wife two sons and two grandchildren plus several relatives and friends
