Fairbank Acquitted In Maljamar Gas Case Near Roswell
H F Fairbank proprietor of a Roswell area filling station was found not guilty by a jury on one of two counts in a case charging adulterated Maljamar gasoline sold by Malco Refinery Inc. The judge had withdrawn the first count. the second count related to selling adulterated fuel marked Maljamar. Trial began after a complaint by O P Coppedge NM Gas Tax chief. This morning at 9 a m the case against Lucas Trujillo and Pas Nejerez for robbery at the E T Amonett store on August first was set to proceed.

Amonett Larceny Case On Trial
Lucas Trujillo and Paz Neje rez were acquitted by a jury at 3:15 this afternoon of robbing the E. T. Amonett store. The state charged them with larceny from the EK T. Amonett store in the early morning of August first, claiming 40 billfolds 12 ladies purses and 20 Mexican scrapes were taken. The case occupied the wheel morning in court as arguments began at two o'clock with District Attorney J G Osburn leading the prosecution.

Third Man Jailed on Counterfeit Charge
J. E. Red Dollison appeared before U S Commissioner Dan C Savage for possessor and passing of a counterfeit one dollar bill. He pleaded not guilty and was held on $2,500 bond, remanded to county jail. Dollison surrendered to officers with a warrant. he is the third jailed this week on counterfeit charges. James Franklin Son and Jack Allen were jailed last week on similar counts after pleas of not guilty and bonds set at $2,500.
