J. P. Angeli returned from a cattle shipment trip to South Dakota and, in Brennan, a robber entered his rooming house while he slept. The thief took his trousers from under his pillow containing $38.50 and a watch, then stole his overcoat before fleeing. Angeli calls the journey costly.
In Topeka Kansas a clash occurred in the Elks club rooms after editor Frank P MacLennon of the Topeka Daily Journal says Kelley confronted him with abusive language while MacLennon waited for a shave. Kelley struck MacLennon on the neck and muttered about future action as bystanders intervened. Kelley is identified as state treasurer.
In an unprecedented 24 hour span in Los Angeles one person was killed, one fatally injured, and six others seriously hurt. Mrs H T Austin died instantly and Edith Polley suffered a skull fracture as a car stalled on a streetcar track. Additional incidents included two pedestrians struck, a horse killed, and multiple automobile collisions with injuries.
As cold weather approaches, the Citizens' National Bank checks stove performance. A small Cole's Hot Blast unit installed by Allery Furniture last winter keeps the bank comfortable during banking hours, replacing an unsatisfactory large prior stove. This setup serves as a real test of stove merit.

The Wagner drill, active near Roswell, has moved onto land owned by Mr Shawver across the Pecos River east of Artesia. It marks the first well east of the river in the lower valley and, if successful, plans call for several more wells.
In Pittsburg Pennsylvania on November h eighty thousand dollars worth of the Santa Fe Central railroad stock, once held by the late Cashier Clark of the Enterprise National Bank as treasurer, is reported missing. Receiver Cunningham of the defunct bank has not located the securities.
Salinas California November 6 Bulletin Overland Limited train No 9 coming west was wrecked today between Santa Margarita and San Luis Obispo by a package of dynamite left on the track. The engine was damaged considerably but no person reported hurt.
