Ten Killed In Utah Mountain Airliner Crash

Salt Lake City dispatch reports ten people dead when a United Airlines bi motor transport crashed into a Wasatch mountainside 13 miles northeast of Salt Lake City while attempting to land in a snowstorm. Pilots Captain Howard Fey and First Officer Thomas E. Sandegren among the dead. investigation to begin with Civil Aeronautics Authority and United Airlines officials present.

Crile Casts Second Vote in His District

Shipley pleads not guilty to forgery charge

Thomas Edward Shipley aged 285 pleaded not guilty to forgery when arraigned before J P Pat O Neill. Preliminary hearing set for 10 a m on Wednesday November 13 with bond fixed at 1000 dollars. Shipley was arrested after attempting to cash a 28 50 check at First National Bank and trying to swallow the document before officers intervened.
