Nearly every city town and village will host voting next Tuesday as AP estimates about 46.97 million people are eligible to vote an increase of roughly 4.5 million from 1928 and over ten million more than the 1928 Hoover Smith total. Projections vary on turnout with some calculations around 45 to 46 million. declines appear in six states including Kansas Delaware Georgia Idaho Pennsylvania and Texas while large states mostly rise.

Loving Man Dies After Officer Shootout in New Mexico
In Carlsbad on November 2, Manuel Gonzales, 32, of Loving, died from a bullet wound after resisting arrest during a drunkenness arrest operation. Deputies Jesse Franz and Frank Nymeyer said Gonzales grabbed for a gun after warnings, receiving a fatal shoulder wound from a third shot.
