Dexter District Gets New King Grader

The Dexter road district welcomed a new King grader on Wednesday morning. Uncle Jerry Carier praises it as the best on the market and says it will improve roads near Dexter to county standards. Jury verdicts in Robison and Brown cases noted

The jury in the Harry Robison case against Cottinham and Rose returned findings of fact and submitted the facts to Judge Pope for decision. The jury in the Charles Brown assault with a deadly weapon case found him guilty. The Gus Lard assault case with a deadly weapon is on trial this afternoon.

In San Francisco on November 1 4 a voting machine used for the November 7 municipal election underwent a test before a fusionist committee. An operator demonstrated that placing a rubber band near candidate Fusion Geedick’s name could prevent registering for mayor while still registering for other offices.

Dexter Citizens Plead Guilty on Sunday Law Charge

A number of Dexter residents were arraigned in district court on the Territorial side yesterday afternoon for violating the Sunday law. Roswell citizens faced the same charge but their cases were dismissed. Dexter defendants pleaded guilty and received light fines with suspended jail sentences during good behavior.

Chan J Devlin a bankrupt millionaire coal operator from Topeka Kansas died at Elizabeth hospital Chicago after a second stroke. His first stroke last summer caused severe setbacks to his vast business interests and led to his financial collapse.

Red Flag Incidents Rock New York During Noon Hour

In New York two campaign incidents sparked excitement as anti Hearst banners were torn down in separate city sections at noon. Each banner bore a red flag with a Hearst labeled hand and an American flag with a McClellan labeled hand, and asked “Under which flag?” The American flag was treated reverently in both cases.
