A man, intoxicated and at large, is likely to face a misdemeanor warrant after police say he fired seven shots into the air Monday evening on the 1000 block of South Michigan. Officers found six spent .45 casings and one unspent round in a front yard. no damage reported.
In Albuquerque a federal judge hears Forest Service bid to dismiss a lawsuit by Hispanic ranchers over grazing limits on historic land grant areas in northern New Mexico. The ranchers say the move targets their families centuries of work and culture, with a decision expected by September.
Lester Peck, organizer of the four month Farmers Market in Roswell, announces SNAP tokens will be added this year enabling food stamp recipients to buy fresh produce at the market.
