In Roswell a local dispute over storage charges sparks a protest from the railway and business leaders. A letter from Pay Bae Ry Co urges direct negotiations to adjust rates, arguing the grand jury findings are unfounded and urging cooperation to attract regional trade. A separate railroad accident in Lafayette injures many veterans, with Chas Roudebush killed and dozens hospitalized.
The cadets edged the Albuquerque Browns in a tight game. Key players led scoring and defense as the team clinched a narrow win on the road.
In Roswell the Cadets beat Albuquerque 5 to 4 in thirteen innings after trailing 3 to 1 in the first. Hester and Gallegos pitched well for their teams with key plays by Kennard Audrain Stewart Neher Kunz and Overlock. Hester delivered the deciding hit in the thirteenth as the Cadets rally to secure the upset victory.
