Huey to return to Angel Fire memorial after repair efforts
In October a Bell AH-1 Huey helicopter was moved from Aersale and Dean Baldwin for repairs and repainting to restore it to its original condition as near as possible. Holloway Construction supplied the crane to handle the aircraft during relocation. The Huey, a Vietnam War icon, has long been on display at Angel Fire’s Vietnam War Veterans Memorial and is being returned to its perch after necessary work. Richard Dickerson of the Dick Westphal Veterans Foundation helped drive the restoration, noting the aircraft’s peacekeeping significance and its value for future generations. Representative Bob Wooley pushed the project forward.
