Teller argues Safeguard ABM system provokes debate

Pair Receives Six Months For Damaging County Jail Wall
Gilbert Salas Morales, 18, of Hagerman and Pilar Torres, 19, of Dexter, charged in Magistrate Court with criminal damage to property after ripping the padded section off a jail cell wall. Each pleaded guilty, receiving six months in county jail and a $100 fine. Morales was awaiting trial on armed robbery and related charges, while Torres was serving a 30 day sentence for driving without a license.

Marine Corps Recruiter To Visit Roswell This Week

Convicted Slayer Is Sentenced To Life Term
Anthony Erthell Williams, convicted of first degree murder in the abduction slaying of 10 year old Pamela Powers, was sentenced to life in prison at Fort Madison State Penitentiary. He was an escapee from a Missouri mental institution and apologized to Pamela Powers' parents after the ruling.
