Feds say all students, regardless of status, must have K 12 education
The U S Department of Education reminds districts nationwide that no child can be denied public schooling for citizenship status. The letter cites Plyer v Doe and says districts may not seek or use immigration status to bar enrollment and may require residency proof or a birth certificate but not a Social Security number.
